Some of the most beautiful images from Mars, I think, includes this, from the south pole. It shows in true and false color the view of the dry ice / water ice glaciers as they retreat in the spring of 2004. Some place to go skiing? www.esa.int/images. A great paradox; detailed maps of Mars are better than those of Earth.
